Open collaboration

Build the technology with us.

Væringjar II is open to scientific dialogue, engineering contribution and experimental partnerships while the scientific and technological foundations are still being formed.

Research lead

Dmytro Humennyi (Дмитро Гуменний), Ph.D.

Væringjar II is an independent, author-led and self-funded research programme. Igor Sikorsky KPI and KNUCA are academic affiliations and research environments, not owners or sponsors of the programme.

Independent research programme
Technology implementation

Contimech.org

Contimech.org supports translation of the research into executable technology: C++ / ROS 2 reference implementation, test infrastructure, embedded prototypes and the exploratory RISC-V / SoC path.

Programme status
Research first · technology formation · no commercial offering

The current objective is to establish the methodology, validate it experimentally, build reference implementations and create a credible research and technology network. Commercialisation is deliberately deferred.

We want to talk to

Partners who can add evidence, not just visibility.

01 / SCIENCE

Researchers

Control theory, cybernetics, fault-tolerant control, dependability, optimisation, formal verification and reconfigurable systems.

Models · critique · joint research
02 / ENGINEERING

Technology contributors

ROS 2, embedded control, HIL, fault injection, RISC-V, FPGA, SoC architecture and deterministic real-time systems.

Implementation · tooling · prototypes
03 / EXPERIMENT

Domain partners

Robotics and aerospace teams with real plants, test rigs, models or failure scenarios suitable for controlled post-failure experiments.

Validation · data · test environments
Good collaboration input

A concrete hard problem is enough.

The useful starting point is not a polished proposal. Four pieces of information are enough to determine whether the problem overlaps with the research programme.

01
Plant

Robot, vehicle, flight platform or another cyber-physical object.

02
Damage / failure

What changes irreversibly or degrades during operation?

03
Residual resources

What sensing, actuation, compute, power or communication remains?

04
Residual objective

What useful behaviour should still be achieved and how can it be verified?

ACADEMIC PARTICIPATION // Selected research tasks may be developed through PhD and MSc work supervised by Dmytro Humennyi. Academic participation does not change the ownership or funding model of Væringjar II.
Open dialogue

If the problem overlaps, start a technical conversation.

No procurement process or commercial scope is required. A research question, paper, plant model, test scenario or implementation idea is enough to start.
